Artist statement:
Green Lightning transforms the vintage Sharp RP-1122H into a kinetic object — a dialogue between retro engineering and futuristic design. The original mechanical core remains intact, preserving the precision and rhythm of analog motion. Around it, a new visual language emerges: light-green flashes, gear outlines, and lightning motifs trace the pulse of movement through color and reflection.

A translucent green headshell accentuates the tonearm’s geometry, while the contrast between matte and gloss finishes defines the object’s sculptural presence.

Every surface is treated as both instrument and composition — sand-matted, polished, and layered to evoke the shimmer of energy in motion. At its center, a crystal-green acrylic slipmat refracts light through the rotating vinyl, blending clarity and color into a single optical rhythm.
