Stellar - The Aurora Turntable

Artist Statement:

Stellar draws its inspiration from the night sky — a constellation of light, motion, and sound. Etched across its body are real star patterns, fragments of celestial maps that give the turntable its name.

When illuminated, these constellations shimmer as the platter spins, turning the casing itself into a revolving sky.

Along the sides, two engraved lines define the rhythm of the work:

"Feel the beat, shine the night” and “Spin the light, listen to the magic.”

They function like guiding coordinates — uniting sound and light within a single orbit of meaning.

The dark-gray acrylic transforms to radiant white when lit, and the stellar motif evokes the chromatic movement of an aurora. Over two hundred shifting patterns of light flow across the surface, translating vibration into color, and color into emotion.

A built-in preamp and Bluetooth transmitter bridge the analog ritual of vinyl with contemporary technology. Yet the heart of Stellar remains tactile and mechanical — the act of placing the needle, adjusting the speed, and feeling the pulse of rotation beneath the fingertips.

The 3D slipmat reflects the same idea of continuity — a circular canvas where color, reflection, and rhythm converge.

Stellar transforms the act of listening into an immersion within color and space — a visual sonata of movement and luminescence.
